A Call to celebrate the wildlife of Solomon Islands

As part of the Solomon Islands National Resource Management Symposium being held from 2nd-6th October, a day will be dedicated to celebrating the species of Solomon Islands. The day is being led by Ecological Solutions Solomon Islands, in partnership with IUCN Oceania, the Regional Implementation Team for CEPF’s investment in the East Melanesian Islands.

The Species Day will bring together Solomon Islanders working on species conservation to celebrate the species of Solomon Islands, and promote species protection, management, recovery and rehabilitation. The focus will predominantly be on the priority species listed in CEPF’s investment strategy for Solomon Islands.

A photo competition aimed at CEPF grantees and others working in Solomon Islands is open concurrently. Winning images shall be showcased on the day of the Species Forum. Further details are available here.

The deadline for submission of abstracts and photographs is 31st August 2017.
