In its approach to participatory management of natural resources, AVPN supports dialogue, the exchange of experiences and equitable sharing. AVPN supports the national policy goals for the management of natural resources, the various conventions to which Benin adheres and the strategies of regional institutions such as IUCN-ROCA. AVPN also promotes the creation of regional and national partnerships for the management of shared ecosystems: for example that of the Mono River and its biological resources. It is with this focus that AVPN has organized a regional workshop for disseminating information about the transborder programme of participatory management of biological resources in the Mono River Valley (Benin and Togo).
