Cameroun Ecologie (Cam-Eco) is a non-profit national NGO. It was established in September 2000 under Declaration No. 00452/RDA/J06/BAPP. It is active in several fields through the following programmes: 1. Sustainable Natural Resource Management - Community forestry support - Mangrove ecosystem sustainable management - Forest governance - Community land and forest tenure 2. Local Economic Development - Developing income-generating activities (IGA) - Assisting in income management - Enabling access to basic services 3. Supporting Decentralized Local Authorities - Helping decentralized local authorities to develop Local Development Plans - Community capacity-building in order to develop Local Development Plans - Helping decentralized local authorities to promote good governance 4. Environmental Initiatives - Urban sewage - Helping to develop waste management and sewage plans - REDD and Climate Change
