Canadian Wildlife Service, Environment Canada

In 1947 the Dominion Wildlife Service was established - the name changed to Canadian Wildlife Service in 1950. The Canadian Wildlife Service contributes to achieving the broad vision set out in the Canadian Biodiversity Strategy (1995): A society that lives and develops as part of nature, valuing the diversity of life, takes not more that can be replenished, and leaves future generations a world rich in biodiversity. Information on the Canadian Wildlife Service can be found at: http://www.cws-scf.ec.gc.ca/
