China Green Carbon Foundation

China Green Carbon Foundation (CGCF), approved by the State Council and registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, was established on July 19, 2010 in Beijing. Under the auspices of the State Forestry Administration, the foundation is China's first national public non-profits fund that targets on addressing climate change by increasing carbon sink and reducing carbon emission through forestry means. CGCF became an observer organizaton to the Conference of Parties (COPs) of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change on 28 December, 2012. It is classified as AAAA foundation by the Ministry of Civil Affairs in 2013.
