Community Action for Nature Conservation

Community Action for Nature Conservation is a Non-Governmental Organization registered in Kenya in 2008 its registration certificate Number is OP.218/051/2008/0451/5467.CANCO operates within the universal values, principles, and practices of good governance and democratic rights and fundamental freedoms for public interests and common good. It was founded by a team of multidisciplinary professionals with a commitment to contribute to good environmental governance and stewardship, sustainable natural resources management and responsible socio-economic development. CANCO has an elected board of 9 members and a management team of 11 staff. CANCO has 4 programme areas – Oil, Gas and mining, Water and Wetlands, Marine and Fisheries and Knowledge Management and Organization Development. CANCO has offices 4 offices in Mombasa, Eldoret, Kitale and Nairobi Office – Ngong Hills Hotel being the head office.
