Conflict and Environment Observatory
CEOBS is a specialised UK charity that undertakes research and advocacy on the environmental dimensions of armed
conflicts and military activities. The main areas of our work are monitoring environmental incidents and trends in areas
affected by conflicts; monitoring and contributing to legal and policy intiatives intended to enhance the protection of the
environment in relation to armed conflicts; and promoting environmental mainstreaming in humanitarian disarmament.
