Environment and Rural Development Foundation

Environment and Rural Development Foundation (ERuDeF) is Cameroonian conservation NGO created in 1999 to conserve biodiversity and protect fragile envireonments. Its seat is Buea South West Cameroon. ERuDeF is run by a Board of Trustees with a membership of over 270. Current conservation work is focused on Cross River Gorillas, Nigeria-Cameroon Chimpanzees, African Elephants, birds, amphibians and threatened trees. Its achievements include facilitating the creation of Tofala Hill Wildlife Sanctuary in 2014 and signing of Cameroon's first Mutually Agreed Terms in April 2015 on Access Benefit Sharing. ERuDeF has proposed three other protected areas in Cameroon for creation.
