Environmental Protection & Conservation Organisation

EPCO is a national, environmental Non governmental organisation . It was founded in 1988 as a need driven NGO and is not for profit making. Initially EPCO started with a national education programme for primary school children.The organisation later established a priority list of projects to be undertaken in Mauritius. EPCO also worked with other local and regional NGOs to share views and ideas on conservation projects. EPCO has also contributed at various international fora such as the IUCN, IASC, WIOMSA and GEF meetings.
