Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy

The Conservancy exists to restore, preserve and protect the natural habitats and wildlife of Mount Kenya. Our flagship program concerns the breeding and rewildling of the critically endangered Mountain Bongo and the restoration of its habitat. It is a dedicated program aligned to the National Bongo Recovery and Action plan 2019-2023. At the orphanage, injured, orphaned or displaced animals are brought by KWS to be treated and rehabilitated for release back to their natural homes. Through our community conservation education program, we reach young people via schools, and work with communities to inspire them to become future stewards of the planet.
