Namibia Nature Foundation

The Namibia Nature Foundation is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation (NGO). It operates under a Deed of Trust registered with the Master of the Namibian High Court. A Board of Trustees governs the NNF. This board consists of 17 prominent members of the public. The Board meets quarterly to receive the Executive Director`s technical report and financial report. The Board approves the annual budget and receives the independent auditor`s report. The NNF banks with the Commercial Bank of Namibia. For each project a separate bank account is opened. Large projects are audited independently each year, while smaller projects are audited as part of the annual NNF audit. The NNF has established a fully-interactive projects database, on which all pertinent information needed for project administration and management is recorded and instantly accessible. The NNF has a core staff compliment of 19. Seven of these are administrative / financial staff who deal with the organisation`s finances on a daily basis. Additional non-core staff members are attached to specific projects and programmes.
