Namibian Chamber of Environment

The Namibian Chamber of Environment (NCE) is a non-governmental umbrella, membership-based environmental organisation established as a voluntary association and body corporate separate from its members [universitas personarum] under Namibian common law. Its primarily functions are to represent the environmental interests of its members, to promote and support its members and their work, to facilitate collaboration and networking, to provide grant funding to members, to drive an environmental policy research agenda, to create and grow an environmental information service, to address priority environmental issues identified by its members, and to help liaise with government, private sector and the international community to enhance the effectiveness of the work of its members. Current membership stands at 65 Namibian environmental NGOs.
