The conservation of the various species of woodcock and snipe around the world is dependent on several factors, including habitat changes, climate change and human exploitation. The Woodcock and Snipe Specialist Group intends to contribute to a better understanding and conservation of the populations of these species, which include migratory species, with very wide distribution areas, and non - migratory species, with very restricted distribution areas and about which we still know little.
