应对气候变化:亚洲的自然公园是‘绿肺’
健全、互相连接的自然公园不仅帮助维护生物多样性和自然资源,在减轻和适应气候变化方面,也起到了至关重要的作用。

亚洲地区保护区域专员Peter Shadie指出“为了更有效地应对气候变化的挑战,我们需要扩大现有的保护区,并加强保护区管理与连接性,改善监控的及加大财政支持。” 他还认为“在国家和地区各级,加强应对气候变化技术和保护区域之间的交流十分重要。”
为进一步开展这项工作,IUCN亚洲与韩国济州岛合作签署发展气候变化培训项目的备忘录。
IUCN亚洲区主任Aban Marker Kabraji 说此项目结合环境变化策略和生物多样性保护,她认为通过与韩国伙伴的合作,可以把全球的知识应用到在亚洲的保护区域网络中。
这个项目会展现保护区域如何减轻温室气体排放所带来的影响,对生态系统适应策略作出贡献,为人民的生计造福,并且保护生物多样性。
